Cabinet grants approval for the recruitment of an additional 2,500 teaching assistants, earmarked for deployment across 863 schools in the plantation sector.
Minister of State for Education, AravindhKumar, confirmed the Cabinet’s endorsement of the proposal.
The appointed teaching assistants will transition to permanent roles upon completing their graduation or teaching college diploma within a specified timeframe.
During this period, they will receive a monthly allowance of 20,000 rupees.
In a related development, State Minister AravindhKumar announced the imminent permanent appointment of 125 teaching assistants in the central province by month-end.
