Geoff Allardice, the Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC), has arrived in Sri Lanka amid the ongoing ban imposed by the ICC on Sri Lanka Cricket.
Allardice engaged in a significant meeting today with the Minister of Sports, Harin Fernando, to explore potential avenues for the lifting of the ban.

Minister Harin Fernando shared his positive sentiments following the meeting, stating, “Had the great pleasure of meeting ICC CEO Geoff Allardice, and had a constructive discussion and of a way forward for SLC,” in a post on X.
In a further development, it has been reported that Geoff Allardice is scheduled to meet with President Ranil Wickremesinghe later today.
