The GCE A/L examination in Sri Lanka for the year 2023 concluded today. The exam, which had been postponed multiple times, ultimately took place in January and concluded with the controversial Agriculture Science paper. This particular paper had to be re-administered due to an initial leak.

The Ministry of Education has announced that the Examination Department is now ready to commence the marking of A-level answer sheets. Examiners are expected to receive the same payment as the previous year. The department aims to complete the marking process and release results within the next few months.

In conjunction with the examination proceedings, the second phase of the third school term for both government and approved private schools is scheduled to commence on February 5th.
