A tragic incident unfolded at Pathiraja Mawatha, Elpitiya, where a 51-year-old Public Health Inspector (PHI) was fatally shot at his residence.
The assailant, arriving on a motorcycle, carried out the attack, as confirmed by the police spokesman.
